John Wildeboer
Senior Pastor
Master of Divinity, Tyndale Seminary
Ordained Minister of the Word – Christian Reformed Church in North America.
John joined Rehoboth Church in August 2012. John is passionate about sharing God’s truth in a high-energy, fun-loving way that has practical relevance for our everyday life. As someone who has walked through a severe depression, and mental nervous breakdown and is a cancer survivor at a young age (26), John is able to relate to those who are suffering and hurting and as such has a core value of accepting and listening to everyone – no matter what.
John married Grace in 1994 and they have three kids and an amazing Daughter in law; Jason and Maya , Charis, and Michael. John likes to stay active by trying to keep up with Grace, or by snowboarding, golfing and, most recently dirt biking with his son Michael.
Rita Vandergaast
Administrative Director
Diploma Food and Drug Technology
Before joining the Rehoboth Team in 2014, Rita managed her own business as a Professional Painter. She has taken that same hard work ethic and eye for detail into the management of everyday life at Rehoboth.
Rita and her husband John raised 4 kids and now enjoy watching their adult children establish themselves where God has planted them. They are also blessed to enjoy 4 grandchildren, including triplets. She enjoys and values spending time with her family, especially summer BBQ’s. In the quieter moments Rita enjoys reading or picking up a smaller paintbrush to create beautiful watercolours, using the beauty of God’s good creation for inspiration.

Welcome to Clarington – Ryan and Ashley.
What is a Christian Reformed Church?
Rehoboth Church is part of a denomination called the Christian Reformed Church or the CRC. The denomination began when Dutch immigrants moved to Canada after World War II. Rehoboth used to be known as the ‘Dutch’ Church, today we are a church that is wide open to everyone.
